Daily Activities
Free Play: The Child has a chance to fully explore the environment. Free play encourages the development of social, creative, and language skills.
Circle Time: The child learns new concepts and how to function in a group through the use of conversations, stories, educational games and new concepts.
Art: Art encourages the development, creativity as well as the concept of oneself. It allows one to learn about colours and mixtures; it allows the child to learn new skills: painting, drawing, playing with clay, cutting out, glueing with diverse shapes and textures.
Music: Learning to identify different instruments by looking, listening and playing games to manipulate instruments in order to create rythm and songs. Children will be chanting songs as well.
Theatre: Puppets and different props are used by the children to re-enact stories, create new characters and get familar with their creativity, social, language skills and group activities.
Gross Motor Activities: These activities allow the child to develop their language muscles during movement. This includes physical activity, games, gymnastics and dance.
Cognitive Activities: Activities that allow the child to develop their visual memory, and concentration with individual and group games, discussions on themes learned.
Science: The child learns to explore and discover throughout a variety of activities: plants, animals, 5 senses, temperature, and nature.
Fine Motor Skills: These activities encourage the development and practice of hand eye cordination, to trace, cut out, paint with fine brushes, make necklaces, and manipulate small objects.
Outings: Gives the child an opportunity to explore and practice the concepts learned in class.
Computer: The child learns and practises basic computer skills and plays educational games. For example: Numbers, Colours, etc...
Introduction to Italian: The child is introduced to the Italian language through educational activities, stories, conversation, and songs.
Introduction to French: The child is introduced to the French language through educational activities, stories, conversation, and songs.
